- Enter the Bitcoin address you wish to send to
- Enter the amount you wish to send
Other FAQs:
Q: I owned some Bitcoin SV (BSV) and/or Bitcoin Cash (BCH), what happened to it?
A: As communicated via email in December 2019, we do not plan to maintain wallets that support BSV and BCH, therefore, we can no longer support these currencies during the final wind down of Circle Pay. If you held BCH and BSV balances post March 1, 2020, your account assets have been converted into Bitcoin.
Q: What happens if I don’t withdraw my crypto assets from Circle Pay?
A: For Pay US Customers: As communicated on January 30, 2020, an account maintenance fee may be deducted from your remaining BTC balance on a monthly basis. The monthly fee may re-occur until your account’s assets are escheated in accordance with your state’s applicable laws and regulations, at which time your account will be closed. Furthermore, at the time of escheatment a $30 fee may be charged to cover the cost of sending the unclaimed property to your state, unless otherwise restricted by applicable law. Prior to your account’s assets being escheated, you may contact Circle support and begin the process of withdrawing your BTC.
For Pay EEA and Rest of World Customers: As communicated on January 30, 2020, an account maintenance fee may be deducted from your remaining BTC balance on a monthly basis.
Q: What fees might I be charged?
A: Starting on June 1st 2020, we plan to begin charging a monthly service fee equivalent to $10 USD for Circle Pay customers who hold BTC in their Circle Pay account. We plan to withdraw the fee from the BTC balance in the account. This fee will not exceed the total amount of BTC in the account.
Q: What is the current BTC transaction fee?
A: Transaction fees are included with your bitcoin transaction in order to have your transaction processed by a miner and confirmed by the Bitcoin network. The current average fee is 0.00025 BTC per transaction.
Q: Will I incur fees on Circle if I do not have the assets to cover the BTC transaction fees?
A: The BTC transaction fee is required to facilitate on-chain withdrawals. If your account balance is equal to or less than the applicable transaction fee amount, a withdrawal will not be possible. Fees charged to accounts will only be deducted solely from your account balance and will never cause a negative value of funds. Once your Circle account balance is zero, your account will automatically close.
Q: Why did you convert my Bitcoin SV and/or Bitcoin Cash into Bitcoin?
A: We do not plan to maintain wallets that support BSV and BCH, so we can no longer support these currencies during the final wind down of Circle Pay. All BCH and BSV holdings were converted into BTC on April 27, 2020.
Q: I have lost my phone, how can I reset my phone number?
A: The easiest way to do that would be for you to submit **both** of the following two images:
- A photo of your government-issued ID where all information is legible
- A photo of you holding the same ID with your face in the photo as well
